For the Sweden edition of the Scandinavian porch series, we will be raising funds for Maine Needs. Reveling in the novelty of keeping warm in the cold is a privilege that many in our state just do not have, and I think that it is important to highlight that disparity.  Maine Needs is a volunteer run organization that receives and sorts donations from the public, and uses donated funds to purchase and assemble basic kits of necessities for those in need statewide in Maine.  They work with a network of providers, caseworkers, teachers and other nonprofits to get these donations into the hands of the people across the state that need them the most. 

Dinner starts at 5:30 pm and is $100/PP - which includes four delectable courses, beverage pairings, and a $20 donation to Maine Needs. (It does not include tax or gratuity.)  Please note, this dinner is held on our heated and covered porch. Sheepskins and blankets will be provided, but please dress appropriately !

A tale of two toasts: 

gubbröra - anchovy, egg, herb, rye toast

toast skagen - dayboat scallop, matcha creme fraiche, preserved lemon, dill, rainbow trout roe
